except for needing a few more female pins( i need like 5-10) and the actual connectors for whatever you end up using(7730/7727/9396, whichever). i have everything necessary.

ugh... i hate the 7730, but if its what you got, then it will work, you won't be the first one i've done... is the 1.5PCM wired correctly(as in they way a 3.4 camaro should be)? if so, then i already have the diagrams, but if there is ANY discrepancy, then i'll definitely need the one you have.Originally posted by Bridgetown View PostI have a 7730 with male end connectors and about 10" of wire. I also have wirring diagrams and pinouts for my harness the way it is currently. I'm game if you are.

email is my screenname here, just with @yahoo.com on the end...
PDF is fine, its usually what i end up mailing people and uploading to here anyways.
7730 isn't bad other than assembling the harness. its hard to tell in low-light which connector you're working with unless you know the color codes. the 7727/9396 on the other hand have it cast in the connector face...
so really, its fine, so long as you can keep moisture away from it, it just takes me longer to assemble them.

If going by Roberts guide, a 9396 is what you use, or 7727.
For the smallest, I think the non weather proof 7730 would be the smallest, but then you'd have to figure out the pins to match them up as they are different than the 9396.
I think the 9396/7727 weatherproof are slightly smaller than the 3100 OBD1.5 ECM from the discussion with Robert I had.

7727 does have a LOT of the same pins as a 9396, only a few things different, and i have the PDFs to confirm it...Originally posted by IsaacHayes View PostIf going by Roberts guide, a 9396 is what you use. I'm not sure if the 7727 would have the same pin out?

7730 pins: i have them already mapped out to connect to a 1.5 harness
7727/9396 ARE slightly smaller (about 1/2" in every direction) than the 1.5 ECM. not sure how big a 7730 is.

If the pins are different, then how come places say you can swap a 9396 in place of a 7727? Sure they all can run the same code, but not a direct swap as far as hardware replacement...
I might mount the 9396 in the spot of the OBD1.5 ECM if it's smaller, just make some tabs to attach to it.... That is once I get a final tune to it... Or get the prom extender... Hmm.sigpic
