Even the street/strip cam runs great on the stock tune. OBD2 with its MAF really takes care of the fueling quite well, and the stock spark table is pretty damn good as well. OBD1 owners can't appreciate this fact I guess
The VE tune for the torque cam is crazy compared to stock but without seeing it, I don't know that it would be noticed. OBD1 would need a tune for sure:P But OBD2 is fine. Tuning for the cam is possible...but not even close to necessary. Its the transmission and other small details like fans and TCC that make the big difference in tuning.
