Guest repliedIt's pretty typical that car a that spins off the line will MPH higher than one that dead hooks. I think it has to do with the wheel's rotational forces giving the car a quick increase (lurch) in forward momentum when the tire does finally hook. Of course the E.T. suffers, which is the main concern.

How'd you go from a 2.2 60' at 14.6/96.xx mph to a 2.4 60' and 103.xx mph?? Do you have a slipping clutch or dying tranny or something?

14.4@103? Weird... I'm running 12.6@108 thats a 4t60e and my old nitrous hybrid motor.
My 60ft was 1.8 tho... that's where your loosing A LOT of time.

Bunch of 99.X mph runs and then this! 200+ to the wheels easily

Track results are what matter.

Guest repliedthe dyno is a tuning tool. with that mph you are obviously making more than 165 whp with a 3200 lb race weight.

half-assed calculations indicate that at 3200lbs, you're looking at something around 200HP at the wheels to pull a 14.6.

Car does seem kind of quite though. Has S&S headers with 2.5" MB from header to gas tank area with no cat/res and factory 2.25" axle back/muffler

Well hearing some not so good things about this "Bill" guy who potentially did the tune that I'm running... I really wanna get my exhaust finished from axle back, wideband installed and get together with Scott(1quickhatch) and Paul(MMGT1) and see what some more HPT can do.
Dave I'm running a Getrag F23 and I wasn't driving so not 100% sure what RPM he hit, just going by the chart. You do your pulls in 3rd? Mine was in 4th, was told closet gear to 1 and the F23 gears are
1st 3.58
2nd 2.02
3rd 1.35
4th 0.98
5th 0.69
FD 3.94

That graph is very smooth. Without correction factor type and percentage, its useless to compare with anything else. Could tune on it but I would want to see more consistency on the graphs before I believed it was repeating itself.

Was very disappointing lol
But I'm a little iffy with the Mustang dyno I was on for this, heard the owner had it in pieces the night before and they were having issues with multiple cars that day. I saw a lot more people getting a graph like my 1st one on their 1st pull, some guy arrived later in the day and was helping with the mustang computer and things seemed to be going a bit more smoother and printouts had much more info on them compared to mine
1 guy brought his Genesis which put out 242/292 prior on a dynojet and only did 185/235 on the Mustang dyno we were on, now I know the Mustang usually reads low and is more "street power" between the 2 but usually its only a 10-15% difference I hear... with the #s the Genesis put out its closer to 30% difference, thoughts?
