I have a v6 fiero and my engine just took a dump I believe it was the main bearings. Going to buy a reman'd 2.8 next week from autozone for 926.00 (that's after the 250 core).
I was reading somewhere that some suggested using the 3400 oil pump instead of the melling unit because the 3.4 factory unit flows 60% more than the 2.8 factory unit. I would assume that the 3.4 pump would bolt up. My main concern was if I use this would it suck all the oil out of my pan and hurt the engine. I do drive in the 90+ range alot. I figured why pay 75 bux for a melling that has 25% increase when I could get a factory unit for 40 bux that has a 60% increase.
