Throw in the motor on the engine stand in my garage, work over the interior, tweak the body a little finish that up later, wire it and go....

Yea, really I wouldnt have paid more than 2k for it... that kit still needed alot of work done to it and personally I would have found a better kit. Oh, and after all it is a base Fiero under all that fiberglass, so you have to put that into consideration too.

I just so happen to have a mint 70k mile complete Fiero engine in my shop. It was replaced with a 327 and it's from a close friend's car.
Did you get my email? I tried hittin you up on the chat box we have at the bottom of the page as well
I finally saw Christine last night and mentioned this opportunity about your ready-2-go engine to her. She explained that, "...Well...there is really nothing wrong with the motor...its just that it was overheating and then it stopped....and then we'd wait about two hours and it would start again... But we had that fixed....So no...We don't need another motor." Not "Thanks, But No Thanks!" Not "Kiss My Ass..."....Nothing. I guess she feels a bit self-conscious about her Old Man being away and not really knowing what to do about it... Oh Well... Sorry about that... but you know what they say..."You can lead a Horse to Water...etc...."

I think I'll send the guy an eBay Message right on his Sale Page and tell him that if he wants to sell the damned thing, he should post more photos of the car; either with us here...or at www.photobucket.com and let us know how to look at it more closely...Originally posted by geldartb View Posti noticed the V-4 part too. i was like wtf is with people and thinking they have a V-4.
that thing says it has 450k on it. wonder what it looks like under the kit. i know the ad says its mostly complete but i dont know.
eBay Message Sent Just Now:
"If you want the people at www.60dgreev6.com to look at this car and perhaps BUY it...either join there for free and post more images of it as a new member tonight...or set up a free account with www.photobucket.com and let me know what your Nickname there is so I can let everyone know how to find your Photo-Bucket. Then...We can all LOOK at the car in greater detail and maybe somebody will decide to buy it..."Last edited by 60dgrzbelow0; 11-03-2009, 05:18 PM.

priceless...
but apparently all it needs is to get the ECM wired up... not to tough of a job. plus some interior work...

Actually Brad... All I've done so far is repeatedly describe her present reluctance to take ANY action regarding this car ...and my participation has been limited to glomming the photos your see here and providing her with the printed information from the Pontiac Fiero Mera Club. She now has a hard copy reference with their phone numbers and email addies. If she so desires, she can investigate the matter with them and I'm sure that with their unique and specific knowledge on this odd car (and the fact that the $$$ Value comes to the conversation because of what they wrote), they will be able to tell her what she's got... one way or the other. The only other actions I anticipate engaging in when I next see her, is to ask whether or not she's interested in buying John's (FF) Fiero Engine at what I think is an exceptionally fair price for a reasonably low mileage, running engine. That about does it.Originally posted by bszopi View PostI'd be looking for any records or whatnot to prove that it is in fact a Mera before trying to go any further. Unfortunately, you've already got her thinking is worth a ton, when if it turns out to only be a kit car and not an actual Mera, the price drops significantly.
EDIT - Missed the fact that there was another page of posts when I wrote that...
As for knowing EXACTLY the differences between the <250 Production Pontiac Fiero Mera Cars and whatever kits might have been available over twenty years ago...she STILL might make a little money on that car (if that is what she intends to do...) just because of the numbers alone:
With < 250 Meras...divided into a population of 310,000,000... That comes out to be One (1) Mera for ever 1,250,000 Americans! THAT ratio alone should make even the rattiest looking Mera out there worth SOMETHING! And as for the "Kit" Cars...The same thing might apply...if for no other reason than the lawsuit from Ferrari that stopped their runaway production of these "kits". I guess the only way to find out...is to Google for any that might be out there and available to buy....Yes?
As an "Off Topic" ...Non-60* Topic that is...Take a look at this Amazing Lunatic's Fiero....
It looks like something Ben and John would cook up (and NEVER mention a THING about building it...
...)
