alot of the cavy guys are also turboing 3400s

as i already stated..my engine has 128,000 worn out miles on it..hence y im only running 5 psi right now..i have no tuning capabilitly what so ever..running worn out street tires and sound system in the trunk..not the best intake pipe possible..i have alot of restriction on that side at the moment that needs tending to when i have time and money for it..also no intercooler at the moment..i have alot of little issues that need tending to and some things that need to be redone on the setup..but as of right now im not all the concerned..i have a RMT setup on a DAILY DRIVER that function as it should so i dont care at this point if the car should be in the 14s..that all come soon

    Rear Mounted Turbo

I have a 3400 rear mounted t3/t4 50 trim set up on my 94 5 speed cavalier. I have only ran the car a coulple days after i completed the setup. I ran a 13.8@104. I was running 6psi boost stock fuel pump stock everything including computer etc... when the boost came on the car was hitching then getting up and going again so i was running 2.4 60ft's.

Since then i'm running the stock computer at 8 psi non intercooled. with an adj. rrfpr with 255 ml/hr. fuel pump 2 bar map sensor 36 lb/hr. injectors wideband and boost controller. The car now walks c5 vettes on the highway. The car is probably good for a high 12 to a low 13 sec. quarter. If the car doesn't sell i'll be intercooling it and tuning it a little better along with a bully clutch because the centerforce dual friction can not take it. I turned it up to 10 psi the other day and it burnt the clutch all the way through 3rd gear.

The car hauls! for a cavalier you can NOT complain! Follow KHTURBOFAB 100% and i promise you will not have ANY problems what so ever. If you have an issue he kenton can be found on v6z24.com and he'll answer any and all questions you have he's a great guy!

    Or just ask me. sscavy@yahoo.com

    GOOD LUCK WITH THE BUILD!

Ummm, I'd expect at LEAST a mid to low 14 off the trailer after adding a turbo.

Hell my truck, with a turbo that was too small, and no traction, along with top end fueling issues managed a 13.8 @ 99, In full street trim I was low 14s. The truck was a low compression (8.9:1) 3.2L with a 3100 top end, weighs in at around 3200 lbs.

Stock with the 2.8, I wouldn't know, the carb ran out of fuel by the top of second gear or beginning of third, depending on how early I shifted.

There's J-bodies, that might be about 10 lbs lighter than the L-body that run deep into the 13s with stock 2.8s and 3.1s that have a turbo added to them.

You have some serious issues going on there, if you haven't even kissed 14s yet. maybe a conventional mount turbo would work better?

I've considered the remote mount set-up and even started to lay it out, then realized it was much easier to build a convetional turbo for me, and it has been proven to work better. Turbine theory dictates that.

Also I don't know what everyone is talking about with increased under hood temps, or melting of anything vital, that's where careful planning comes into effect. Also Headers can be used with conventional mount turbos.

ur 3.4 DOHC has quite abit more power stock then a 3100..plus im only running 5psi right now my engine has just under 128,000miles on it and i havent touched the internals yet..and i cant tune the car so that limits me alot as well

    stock i ran 16.8
