Have you ohmed out the fuel injectors?

Well at least it was an easy fix.

I'm going to say ICM, but do to the high cost having it tested at a parts store is the best way. The crank sensor is somewhat cheap, so if you can't get the ICM tested try that.

Alas! The fuel fump 10amp fuse was bad. This was a learning experience as I rarely have electrical issues. I am a fool because:

I should have checked ALL fuses, not just high amp ones.
I shouldn't have assumed it wasn't a fuel problem because I could smell fuel when cranking (for the 20 min I tried at work after it died)
I should have tested the spark plugs properly.

Thank for everyone's help.

So last night I was able to test a couple things. The batterys charging and cranking power was in the green.

I tested cylinder #2 and #4 by putting the spark plug in the wire and taping it so it was visible. and there was no spark going to the plug while cranking the engine. Where should I proceed?

The fuel pump/relay is also still not officially ruled out, but Fuel is definitely getting to the engine. I can smell it in the air when I try to crank the engine.

Could this be a bad crank sensor or a relay?

[Purple pit]

Just checking to see if it was dropping pressure. Most of the time water doesn't affect it at idle.

[beigmatt]

Drive by wire is something I know nothing about(other than cleaning the TB which you did). There is no way to test the crank sensor other than unplugging it. If nothing changes then it's fine(more or less). Same goes with the cam sensor, which I no long think has anything to do with this.

Not to be an ass, but have you checked to see if the gas cap is tight?

Yeah actually. I had my friend pump gas 2 days ago. But it was tight. I even jumped up and down on the car to mix things up. Very weird that fuel would be a problem. Would I had to of gotten a bad batch with water??

I just don't think its a fuel issue. I did remember hitting a hot wire right off the battery with my wrench when I was doing my coolant reservoir last week. Any chance that could cause a relay to SLOWLY go bad?

I really have alot more to look at before you guys can truly solve this without crapshooting I feel. This can point so many directions. I will try to go get some information within the next 2 hours. Thanks much for everyones help so far. Gotta get under the hood. I will give the community some real results. I have driven this car for 6 years straight, putting 120k on it with 2 different engines. I have put alot of work into the car. So this is a very abnormal issue for me, with most likely a simple solution.

Seemed like a fuel problem. Now from what you just told me I'd say change the crank sensor.

Cam sensor=fuel(low rpm)
Crank sensor=spark

Will it start if you open the throttle a small amount?

No. I have electronic throttle control too. Throttle doesnt do anything when cranking except enable/disable flood mode. Once it starts, then the throttle will increase RPMs. Right now it isnt starting at all.

Now the engine wont start. but When it was having issues for the 60 seconds or so I was in control of it while it was bogging, and between these 3-4 car starts... It would then idle horribly low @ 500rpm. Throttle made it die out almost immediately. it did not like it at all.

I am yet to rule out electrical issues. I am going to look at it right now. Checking fuses, trying to think of a good way to test spark out of the wires. (might just look visually)

Any tips on how I would go about exactly testing the cam/crank sensor? Or I will just look it up myself. Thanks much in advance

Find the fuel pump relay, there should be another just like it, switch those and see if it starts. Also try unplugging the cam sensor.
Sounds like starter chatter on the video to me(hard to tell).

How would unplugging the cam sensor fix the problem? Possible faulty signal?

When the engine was bogging down it really smelled like fuel. Even now when I go to start it with just the starter churning, I can smell gas. Can the fuel pump or anything fuel still be broken if I am clearly smelling fuel when I try to start it? I am thinking more of a spark issue. Will be able to tell in ~1.5 hours! Ugh. Thanks.

EDIT: here is a closeup video of the engine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVUyEHPnEPg
Note: It really sounds like the valves are hitting the pistons. To me the engine always sounds like this starting up. even the throttle body and fuel pump sounds loud when I turn the key over.
