I know nothing about doing any of this plumbing stuff...I assumed someone out there made an upper intake manifold/supercharger assembly that would just bolt right to an existing lower intake manifold and solve that part of the plumbing. Granted, even with that, I dunno where the air intake and throttle body would go...

I guess when it comes to an engine like this, you have to custom plumb everything because supercharger/turbo kits straight up don't exist.

I'm not aware of one, but I think Mars had a supercharger kit on his cavalier. might shoot him a PM.

but to the OP, what year make and model are we dealing with?

Just because of less piping and no messing with exhaust. Junkyard supercharges probably cost about the same as junkyard turbos.

where are you getting a supercharger for a 60* cheaper/less work than a turbo kit?

Can you get a scroll supercharger for a 3100, similar to the 3800 L67?

    Getting More Power: Super/turbocharger?

At some point in the future, if I can keep the old 'Lark running that long, I'd love to either supercharge or turbocharge the old 3100 SFI. My question is, would it be more cost effective to try and hunt down a 3400 DOHC from a Lumina Z34/Euro 3.4 and tune that up? I don't plan on putting several grand into the car, so...
Working...
