    small suggestion

    in the site navigation menu to the left
    where it says Motors, maybe it should say site articles,
    to clarify that indeed that section contains articles.
    or "motors (articles)"

    or will there be a seperate "how-to" section in the left menu ?

    How-To Articles
    - Engines
    + Porting
    + Rebuild
    + Ect...
    - Tuning
    + what is tuning <-- hard coded
    + what you need <-- hard coded
    + constants in depth <-- hard coded
    + flags/switches in depth <-- hard coded
    + Tables in depth <-- hard coded page
    + Tuning Articles <--- takes you to its own catagory in the articles section where you can then see the articles (posts) on misc tuning like how to turn off egr, cpp, tuning Pe, tuning Ae, other misc member related posts
    - Ect..

    then make them expandable, se above +

      I agree, min post count for posting rights in other sections sucks. I had to post 5 times in the new member area before I could be manually modified to post in the thread I wanted (regarding head porting and cnc porting).

      We also won't close repeat threads because new discussions can lead to new information or ideas. I do think we need a master discussion for some topics.

      Got another suggestion. Use the links section. I can create new sections but I need to know they should be. Files, pictures, videos, whatever...we can host it.

        well the site seems to be run by like minded people and most of what you guys usually come up with is what i would want to see.

            It's a lot of work to capture the info on a forum but it does help if it can be done and organized into good data. Saves on searches and topics coming back up.


            There is some info on spark plugs I was digging into today. Maybe add that to the site? Not sure if I am dead on but I feel pretty confident with it.

                I wrote my articles as I was researching parts. I figure that if you are on the topic already, why not update/create an article. Everyone can do this. Newbies have no problem using that system when they should be on the forum.

                  Ok, I guess my info is accurate? I'll put a disclaimer :P It's speculation on my part but it makes sense to me.

                  EDIT: I'll make some more articles later eventually on things I've compiled and learned and know work.

                    Believe me, I've posted plenty of things that have been proven wrong. I'm sure there are still a few things in articles that still aren't 100% right. But, the site won't grow without people creating articles and others adding to them and/or correcting them.

                            Looks like I have some work to do. I'll see what I can put together for a OBDII tuning guide. It's probably going to be a modified version of the old DHP tuning guide. Alot of the information in it was pulled together from various sites on the web. So I hope it won't ruffle too many people at DHP.
