  • A/C leak

Well last spring i had my A/C system converted to 134a refrigerant because the R12 had slwoly leaked out. The A/C system worked fine all last summer, but failed to cool anything when I used it the first tiem this year. I stopped by the auto parts store and purchased a guage and some refrigerant and filled the system. Everything worked great for about 2 days, now the system is empty again, per the guage.

Any guesses or experience as where I will most likely find the leak? I did buy more refrigerant and a can of the dye and plan to search it out that way. I am just wondering if anyone else had similar experience and where the leak was found.

    Thanks,

when they converted to 134a did the replace the hoses, and all the seals? if they didn't then they can "seep" the 134a out, may want to get a can of that "leak detector" and a good leak detector light.
