Oh, and by the way, that hose that was in topic (EGR adapter plate to exhaust manifold) .. cost $80 plus tax at the friggin dealer .. Im takin mine off today to make sure its clean and no cracks or such.

I was told that cars with disabled EGR's will pass NY emissions. Good to year you got your car fixed. Now John has to fix his, lol. I thought I saw a label say something about helping pass emissions on a bottle of crap at the parts store a while back, but I don't remember what it was. So your old EGR tube (91) won't fit on the 96 top end, or what's the deal? I do hope you figure something out anyways. Good luck.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

The egr tubes are different. The piece that mounts to the 91 style plenum doesnt mount to the 96 at all. I'm trying to find out if the 96 egr tube uses the same fitting as the 91-95 for the end that bolts to the exhaust manifold, itd have to be in the same location too. That way I could just get a 96 tube and have it bolt to the 96 intake and the 91 exhaust manifold. I guess it comes down to whether the exhaust manifolds used the same adapter and in the same spot. If not I'm gonna have to make a hybrid tube. Tommorow I'm changing the cam timing. I cant decide if I should go back to stock for the e-test or if I could get away with something less wild than I have. I guess no one has gone through emissions with modded cam timing to find out. I think I'm going to just tone it down to -13* on the exhaust side since I was planning on doing that anyways to get back a lil lost low end and then I'll look into some fuel additive to help pass the test. I really dont feel much like having to do it all over again after emissions to get my performance back. While I'm at it I'm going to toss in my 94 pullies. my old car was a 1991 cutlass supreme with the 3.1.... i had not just disabled but compleately taken the egr system off..... no cat.... and i got through georgia emmissions just fine... just cost me a couple of bucks extra...... but for any of u that are enviromentallist my 94 cutty is fully emissions legal1994 Cutlass Supreme Convertible 3.4 DOHC

Nope... different shape/bolt pattern. Mine passed well under all the limits on its last test. The new test hooks up to the computer though, when they see that I don't have an egr its an instant failure regardless of the exhaust emissions.1991 Grand Prix GTP LX9swap/Getrag 284 --- SOLD =(

Here, 75 to 95 models get an exhaust sniff test ( idle only
), 96 and up get code scan only
and just think, "Jeggs" is selling a cat monitoring oxy sensor "fooler", to keep the computer from setting a "P0420".= no cat, no code, no failproud supporter of \"W\"

Dunno if thats true in CT. I heard that cars with OBD I are being computer scanned as well. I'm a lil worried about nox since the exhaust cams are retarted 13 degrees (I had them at -16 but toned it down) so at idle some fresh mixture is sneaking into the exhaust, plus with the stock emissions legal computer chip the motor tends to run a lil hotter.

I noticed that every year I get tested they lower the limits, even on my
88' 2.8v6 Corsica, its getting so that I'm starting to think I should have
kept the original cat -I have the hiflow Catco from Summit, I pass
but not with such a wide margin.
