i got a 1992 z34 and my mom got it in and punched it while she was goin up a hill, now the car is skippin like crazy and sounds alot louder. some people tell me its the timing but i have no idea how to change it. im not sure if the cams skipped a tooth. any information on how to see what the problem is would be greatly appreciated.

If the cam timing has slipped--you're lucky the engine runs. It'd be unusual for the belt to be so bad the cam timing changes; yet the cams are still close enough for the engine to idle.

alright i changed the fuel filter, fixed the exhaust and put new plugs and wires on it. when u take off from an idle the car skips but once you get going it starts firing right and runs great and then again when u stop and come to an idle it starts running bad. my dad hooked up his scanner to it and the speed sensor code comes up, could that be the problem? and where exactly is it? also could it be the coil packs and control module?

I wouldn't expect that to be an issue with idle misfire. I'd clear the code and see if it comes back. If it comes back, fix the problem and see if the misfire goes away.
There's a lot of things it "could" be. Anything from dirty fuel injectors to air intake leaks (mine ran crappy at idle, the intake manifold gaskets were rotted out at the molded silicone seals around some of the intake ports) to the idle air control valve/passage, or the throttle body being dirty. Poor compression could do it, too--what is your cranking compression?
