  • Idle speed acting up

    1993 3.4 DOHC Ok today my car started doin this.. the idle speed will not stay stills its jumps from 600-775 goin up and down..there is no code...also notice hesitation at low rpms.... I checked from vacuum leaks none found... any idea?

    One of your intake gaskets could have gone to crap.

      Same thing happened to my `92 olds 3.4 dohc . It was the intake gasket .

        It stopped doin it the next day...oddly enough.... maybe my car doesnt like regular gas?

            my car does the same thing. I just had intake gaskets replaced and it still does it. On my car is only seems to do that when the oil needs to be changed because it doesn't do it right after I change oil, only acts like that when oil starts breaking down. Lots of k on your oil?

              um 400 miles? I think my iac is bout to crap out..cuz its REAL slow on the scanner. today i was sitting at a light and my rpms dipped to like 400..than came back up...so idk...or i blew a egr gasket again...blah..vacuum leaks gotta love em.
