  • bleeding rad/power steering

i am getting a rad this weekend finally. and i have 2 questions is there any special procedure to follow when bleeding the coolant lines. or do i just unscrew the 2 bleeders and let it flow.

also my power steering fluid is bone dry. none in pump none in lines and very little in the rack. i have heard u have to bleed this too. how do i go about this? remove the return line and catch it in a bottle until it is a smooth stream. i tried that once though the car sucks the fluid down faster than u can put it in.

I can't remember the exact procedure for coolant...but for PS usually you can get away w/ just rasing the front end, filling the system and then start the car. Turn the wheel lock to lock several times, check the Res. to see if you need to add more fluid, then repeat until fluid is no longer foamy.
