Was thinking today that finding headers for the 1991 - 95 LQ1 is nearly impossible. Buddy of mine in the military is a mechanic, I was thinking of just ripping off my front ex manifold with the cross over pipe still attached and saying to this guy here is what the ports look like, can you get me this manifold with three separate pipe that converge into one? then get him to do the same with the rear manifold, then having a true dual exhaust. Do you guys see this as being costly... If I had a welder at home I'd do it myself.
Can you not just plug the hole in the manifold? Cut three separate holes in it and then weld three 1 or 1.5 inch pipes to the manifold and then converge them? A pipe bender a hammer and a welder aughta work nicely I think. It would look like supreme crap but it would essentially be a header.

Shane, I have somebody trying to weld up the stock front manifold into a custom rear turbo manifold using the 3/8" flanges from e-bay right now. I'll let you know how it goes. From what I have heard, lots of grinding, milling, and a few different welding techniques have been used so far!
