Hey everyone, I had one of those disturbing thoughts again..
I've been workin' on the turbofords for a while, and one of the things all the 2.3 guys (even the naturally aspirated guys) like to do all the time is gut the upper intake, and "kinfe edge" the lower intake for smoother airflow thru the plenum, in doing this you lose some torque due to the loss of the valve reverse pulses (when it closes) but the upper end almost always* goes up in power, has anyone thought about trying this, or something similar to this?

I'm curious too as to the numbers. Take pics if you can. If it works...Anyone consider mounting the TB on top? Kinda sideways? I mean if the plenum is empty..I know it means a hole in the hood, and a scoop. Cold air,FORCED> Hmmmmm. Kinda like an open high rise. Center the TB like a 4BBL Holley. Maybe losing bottom end is from side feed due to lack of instant air to all cylinders.
