Yes, it's on a '7730 ECM running $A1 code. It's driveable but there are so many issues that i felt it was a good time to start over with something designed with wilder engines in mind.

With the 950 i have wideband fueling control, i can scale my own VE and spark tables by load and RPM (up to 10K), it's got knock control, extra inputs and outputs, IAC control and a ton of other things it can do. The software is a little weak compared to Tunerpro, it really needs to be updated but there is so much less to it than GM code that it will be much easier to make it run like i want.

If it was a mild engine in a daily driver i'd keep the 7730 but i'm really running out of patience with $A1.

Got it back today, quiet as can be!

Of course it had to act up on the way home, the cooling fan decided not to turn on at all and when i clicked the override switch the interior lights would shut off... haha

    Just for kicks...

Make a press Dave! You know...when you're board.

I found my coolant temps were off. They were jumping around from 250-300 degs. Back to tuning.

I don't have a press, and my "good" Craftsman jack pukes all over the floor every time i use it so the shop seemed like a good option.

It's supposed to be done tomorrow, the commander 950 ECU should be here by this weekend so i'll get to re-tuning and hopefully to the track on the 2nd.

Come on Dave you should set up your own rear's... They are quite easy to do actually... just very time consuming and make sure your press is next to where your working so swapping pinion shims isn't a walk across the house like it is when I'm doing the race car. Also get a good amount of gear mesh grease.

Sounds like it wasn't set up right from the beginning. It should be quiet from the get-go.

i put around 100 miles on it, including 2 runs on the dyno... It sounded like a tornado siren going off behind my head on the way to the shop.

Ohhhh noooooo. You did give the rear 500 miles of easy break-in? That's crucial.
