  • Suggestion for oil pressure?

Any suggestions for getting the stock oil pressure sender unit out of a 3100? I don't know if OBD-1 or 1.5 has the same sensor as my OBD-2 setup, but I need to get mine out to stick in an autometer and I can't seem to be able to get it out. Headers are sorta in the way, and I can't get a regular deepwell over it since the plug is too fat on the top of it.

Seems like I'll have to use a wrench to get it out, but am I going to have to rip off the starter to get it out? Can't reach a wrench in and turn it...

Will the autometer clear the starter?

I replaced mine with a socket that this hotrodder/mechanic had made. he basically welded together a socket so its super deep and big or something and it worked. It fit and worked great. I think the stores sell sockets like that for oilpressure senders I've seen them somewhere.

It should clear the starter, it is angled up away from the starter so I would hope so.

Would you be able to get a wrench in there to put the autometer sender on though???
