Nice!
Thanks.
Not so much fancy, but then again we don't have to adjust to 28" for each test :P

I had a MAP on it to try and get rid of the test pressure gauge but my 2 motors wouldn't pull enough vacuum to get a decent range. I went back to using a regular manometer to measure inches of water. I can adjust to 28" easy now
Maybe some pics when i get the new cabinet put together.

i get around 4" Hg right off the plenum box. It's not perfectly sealed but it's very close. slightly less with everything connected. Once the new rig is up and going i might upgrade the motors. Both of these pull about 12A together.
I contacted 3M to see if they can provide me with more specs on the motors that i ripped out of 2 $220 vacuums at work..

I like it, but it almost looks as if the post on the left is leaning towards the car some, and it doesn't seem to be lifting the car evenly. I could be wrong though. Now that I think about it the lifting thing, does it have adjustable pads on the end? That could be why the passenger side of the car looks higher to me- they might not be adjusted evenly.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

i hope so....Originally posted by sprucegagt View PostI take it you checked to make sure that floor will support those posts?
when me and my dad did the floor for his, we made sure there was at LEAST 6-8" of cement for it. its held up for about 16 months now, with his Javelin on it for at least a month at a time.

I would imagine a nice building like that would have some nice thick floors since they would figure some people would bring in CNC and other heavy machines in. Also knowing John the way I do, I don't think he would chance it if the floor was thin.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

They weren't adjusted
That and the shop floor is lower on the right in that pic. The left post actually leans about 1/16" per 4' towards the wall and the other post leans the same the opposite way (they lean away from each-ohter). The floor is actually almost 1/2 lower on the right, so it took some tweaking to get it to sit proper today. It will still look a little crooked when both sides are sitting on a lock, but with 6 bolts 5/8' diameter, 6"in the concrete, it's not going anywhere
If i had checked better, there would have been a 1/2" plate under the right post, but let's see how long we are at this location...
