have a 1987 trans am that i'm wanting to put a 2.8 v-6 in . how can i make the v-6 computer work without rewiring the car?

Change the knock sensor from a 3.1 in it and wire the injectors to run 6 instead of 8 (v6 and v8 are both batch fire and fire at the same time).

Other than extending/shortening wires for the rest of the sensors, that's about it.
