RE: ECU or PGM
Anything from... 87-93 that came with a 60V6 and a manual. The list is huge, considering basically every small to midsize car from GM was available with the combination between those years. But basically, any 7730/7727 ECM will work and then just burn a chip with the proper code.
Are you putting in a 3.1L or a 3100? If I were you, I'd swap in a 3400. Its been done before. We even have a link in the Swaps section of a guy who did it.

Cool, thanks for the info, Ya I'd seen that up grade, very nice, reason I'm going to try the 3100 is I have one kicking around, as well as a 3800 and a 2.8. People tell me out of the three the 3100 would be the better. Hope to have the project starting this summer just doing my research now. All the help is appreciated
Cheers

well, the 2.8l is dated, making it not the best option for an engine swap. if the 3800 is supercharged, it would be a toss up, however the 3100 is a easier to swap in, and has decent power numbers.
yea any 87-94 j body ecm and wiring harness will work. you could even use an n or l body wiring harness if you wanted to.

Great information, thank you, and FYI I am a manager of a fairly large speed shop here in the GTA so as long as it doesn't get to crazy with requests I'd more then happy to offer along any discount for any performance parts you have in mind. That?s if I'm allowed to do so on this site. Please let me know. Yes I do ship all over the world.
