Well, my swap is going good so far. I picked up a 3400 last Sat and went to pick-n-pull sun and busted my ass pulling parts I didn't need because I'm to stoopid to look in the trunk of my car. My father-in-law picked up a 96 Z26 at an auction for $200 for me with no engine in it. From what I gathered the previous owner was going to do a 3400 swap because most of the parts that need to be kept to do the swap were still there, some of them in the trunk. So today I look in the trunk of the car to see whats left to get and there are all the same parts I just spent $60 and 4 hours of my day off pulling out of a junk car. Thats what I get for not checking first. I knew there were parts back there I just couldn't remember what. The good news is it looks like the only thing I'ma have to swap is the alternator bracket and have a down pipe made.

Actually its in better shape, at leaset cosmeticaly, than my '95. And it has only 60k on the odo. compared to 130k on my 95. Body needs to be painted but its strait, no dents or rust. Interior is good, need to clean the carpet and get a couple stains out of the back seat. Dash isn't even warped yet either. I'll try to put up some pics.Originally posted by IsaacHayes View PostNice! I'm glad its a 96 too because theres allot less crap to swap over. I can almost pop this thing right in. So is the DHP tuner worth it? I figured I'd run it until I put in a 5 speed and just go aftermarket ecu. But if DHP can do that for me without swaping computers I'm there. I'll see if I can get my Engine Management teacher to let me bring it into school and dyno tune it with a class or something.
