I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am GT with 3100 in it that is locked up. I have also found a rebuilt engine from a 1994 Caviler will they swap? Or should I look some more? Will the engine from a Camaro work in front wheeldrive car?

If you use the engine from a 94 Cavalier, you are actually downgrading (going from 155hp stock down to 130hp). And no, the Camaro engine will not fit, and would also be a downgrade. You might start looking for a 3400, and then follow the swap guide from www.3400swap.com.-Brad-

Less work than putting a 3.1mpfi cavalier motor into your car. That would require wiring harness and computer stuff since the older motor lacks 2 sensors...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] New 2010 project (click image)
