Wow that is totally awesome. I have always wanted to do that to a Monte Carlo. Did a good job making it look stock.

Wow, today was my first glimpse at this thread and it is amazing. Awesome work.
Any plans for the LS1? I've heard LS motors respond excellent to headwork even with the stock cam and you wouldn't be giving up any clues to what's under the hood.

Cool deal man. I love opening up a sleeper on some unsuspecting punks. I love what you did to the Lumina, living a dream.

I'm almost done w/ my 96 GPse Turbo 5-Speed. I dared not pass 8 psi on the 4t60e, now the manual is open game.....maybe 12-15 psi for now.

    Congrats on the ride!

I gotta say, that turned out really well! Shortening the mid section of the car never seemed like a good idea to me, but it actually looks just fine. I also really like that you used the stock exhaust tips.

    This Car is Nearly Completed,.

It's Fall time here in Indiana and Since my last photos got deleted I thought I'd share these new shots.

The Interior is slowly coming together and today I also drove it over some scales, with me in it 3420 lbs.

    Thanks for Looking!

    Fresh Clear
Here She is. I do have a ton of Work to do yet. The Glass goes in next week. Things don't move as fast as you want them to sometimes. My Buddy Cameron Shot the Clear for me. Painting was an expirience that I don't care to do again(but probably will). we Plan on Sanding the Clear to get it really flat, then Buffing to a nice Shine .
Next up we start on stiffening the Chassis.

Thanks for Your Time here. Comments and Criticism always welcome.

Got tired of being in line to get a paint Job! So the past few weekends have been busy with getting the door jambs, trun jam, inner fenders, backs of doors, bottoms of hood and trunk, and the ground effects painted.

One area I have been fighting is on my lower ground effects where I cut them. It does not matter how many times I refinish that area when I move the panel(twist) I can see where the reair was. After painting them I was shocked even more. I'm going to try to refinish them mounted on the car, I'm hoing with them rigid it will Help. I'm also open to ideas!

I only have a few pictures, the rest of the parts are in storage till this weekend when I reassemble the car. I plan on doing a reverse tape off to cover the jambs and other painted areas, Any pointers for a Rookie would be appreciated.

I had planned on having the car painted but after waiting 3 weeks to this point I decided to move forward and do it myself. Hope I don't regret it.

I'm using a Single stage paint that can also be shot as a two stage. I'm going to do a final Blocking after the car is painted then have it Clear Coated. The Color is Midnight Blue, but under the Flourecent Lights it has a Hue of Purple.
