    On to supporting mods...

Stock gas tank cross brace had rusted away, so two new ones went on

Spare 3rd-gen F-body sway bar installed (from a rear end I bought)

Homemade traction bars ($60 in materials). Also, 3" lowering blocks

Also got some free 3" lowering springs for the front

    Air filter for the charger

And a few more of the truck

As far as driveability goes, $8F is great so far with some minor tweaks. It's hit low boost already but some issues with our makeshift couplers has led to boost leaks preventing more. Proper couplers should be arriving any day now.

Actually if you wanted to do this without trimming the bellhousing, grab a 94-95 bellhousing/T5 from a 2.2L engine. Or a 94-95 bellhousing with a mustang t5 and swap over your s10 tailshaft.

In any case, we took this for a rip the other night with an N/A belt and tried out 8F. Tune is actually very close already. Time to run it with the charger . The charger is still super loud at idle because the BOV is constantly open... Might need to get a bigger BOV because its like the charger is forcing air out of a tiny BOV.

The bellhousing was trimmed for the starter and there was a dimple put in the crossmember for it as well; the 3400 has a much smaller starter on it though and I doubt it would need the dimple.

I have been thinking of putting a 3400 in my 4X4 S10 but figured the starter wouldn't clear as it is on the wrong side. You obviously had no starter clearance issues?

We're using a Greddy BOV that was recently replaced on my friends Audi 1.8T. Nothing wrong with it except it sounds like dog farts .

Looks like you have a lot of space available in there. Have you decided on a BOV system yet? If running no MAF sensor, it will be much easier to deal with.

And you must call it the Angry Bumble Bee with that sound... LOL that SC is so noisy without the charge pipe on it yet.

Here's a vid of it running. It's pig rich right now because we still don't have the chip burner and haven't been able to drive it at all because the clutch line blew and the parts store sold us the wrong type of braided steel line to make a new one.
