  • 3100 swap finally stated- injector question

After many months away from my project due to work, etc - I finally started it the other day. Engine is a 3100 with 7727 ECU installed in a 78 Opel Kadett. The engine starts but idles very rough like several cylinders are dead. After pulling spark plug wires to determine which cylinders were not contributing, I determined one bank (cylinders 2,4,6) are not working. The coils are firing the plugs but the engine runs the same with plug wires 2,4,6 disconnected or not. Based on this, I'm assuming injectors 2,4,6 are not working based on my understanding that the injectors are batch fired by bank. Since the engine will run, I assume the other bank (1,3,5) is firing.

If I am correct that the injector are fired by bank versus individually, can I modify my wiring so that the ECM wire for cylinder 1,3,5 is connected to all 6 injectors? If not, any ideas as to why only 1 side injectors would be working?

    Thanks

Yes you can connect all 6 to pin D3 at the ECM. That is how mine is wired.
