You only needed the coil bracket, just an FYI. The genII ICM and coils are identical to the genIII parts.
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but you're going to need a different throttle cable bracket and throttle body linkage.
Get these items from a 3100/3400 equipped car, such as '97 to '03 Malibu, Alero, Monte Carlo.
The TB linkage can be swapped. So you can use the throttle shaft with proper linkage from a 3100 equipped car if need be.

Yes, either way you'll need to make somthing to get the TV cable to operate properly.heres a question though

Most people seem to get a Quad4 2.3 Cruise control box IIRC.
I'm sure there is a way with the early 3100 TB from a Grand Am, that has an extra cable attachment, though it hasn't been done, yet.

also i`m in need of a few pulleys
i`m going A/C delete
but need the idler pulley thats near the A/C
tensioner pulley setup
idler pulleyby the alternator
and power steering pump pulley and resevoir

NEW UPDATE
finally went back over to my brothers and pulled more of the motor apart
as you can see form the pics the inside of the engine is pretty sludgy
still need to pull the heads off here sometime started working on pulling hte exhaust manifolds off but need a deep well 13mm for the flanges and i broke one bolt off in the head (dammit) grrr
so bringing some of the parts back to my house so i can clean them up a bit and paint (whenever i get the time)

well a few updates finally got a power steering pump and a few pulleys that i needed also won a auction on ebay for a plenum that says 3400 on it

well a few updates
i still need to contact a shop to get the motor cleaned
but got my power steering pump some miscellious bolts form a yard pulleys
and extra 3400 SFI plenum and throttle body i got off ebay (since the one i had didnt say anything on it)
so heres a few pics of the parts laying around at my house the block and heads are at my brothers
