  • Question : Looking for better suspension for2005 Chevy Malibu

I absolutely hate how the Malibu sits especially when it has people in the car and it looks like there is several dead bodies in the trunk. I'm looking to correct that by doing something with the rear and maybe also the front suspension. Im basically just trying to make the car not look like its bottoming out when the car is full. almost making the car have a nosediving look like most of Chevy's older trucks have. To me it makes the car a little bit more aggressive looking. The only thing I have done to the suspension is adding spacers to the bottom of the springs in the rear to add about an inch or so. So when I drive now, the car doesn't look too bad with 4 people inside.
I only put those in for a temporary fix. I want to upgrade to better springs, also because the little old lady that owned the car before me didnt replace the right rear spring after a small coil section broke off, its unnoticeable when looking at the car but I want to replace it with better suspension that is not stock.
Does anyone have any good ideas of where to purchase before I start getting confused looking at different websites?

I had found this online, only the springs, and they are for a 2005-2009 G6. Im told that they would possibly work on my car since the G6 and Malibu are pretty much the same under the hood.

    http://performance-suspension.eibach...prings/pro-kit

On the website its listed for 400$ but the guy I spoke with said they could be found from one of their vendors for around 100$ less.

and if those do work then I think it might be a good idea to get these, they are front end links, im sure they would be just as good to get on their own but with this suspension kit I think it might be a better idea to get them. I contacted the website and they told me that they would also work on a G6.

The first link doesn't want to work for me for some reason (could be firefox or a firefox add-on), but I can say Eibach makes good springs. If I had to buy new springs for my car, I would go with Eibach without much of a second thought.

The first link is just to Eibach's pro spring page. I use Chrome so I have no idea what it is like on Fire Fox. Do you think that the kit would hurt my car at all? I do like to be rough with my car and since it is a lower kit do you think I would have to be safer when going over bumps?

They aren't off road springs, so I wouldn't hit speed bumps at full throttle. You do have to be more mindful of the lower ground clearance (mine's a 2" drop in the front), but you don't have to baby the car and they won't hurt it.

After loosing the weight of an automatic for a manual, I need to drop my front end...or raise the back.
