    ADJ Vacuum Modulator 4T60e

    Auto idiots (autozone) part # MV303, $12.99.

    I installed mine, gave it 4 turns in as instructed, we'll see tuesday if it helps. Wow its small compared to the old one!
    sigpicHow to make High performance Emissions:
    A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
    Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
    Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
    PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.

    ADJ? Mine is Pioneer brand.

    If your old modulator was in good shape then it won't help a ton with WOT. Just part throttle shifts. But mine I guess was worn as it shifts better at WOT. I guess the spring is fresher in the new modulator.

        the adjustable modulator will help with shift firmness at all throttle positions. just depends on how far you turn the screw in.

          Keep turning till you hear the pump rattle, then back off a turn... LOL

          Actually I'm serious. At least I was able to do that with my 95... The 96 I pay more attention to my crusing trans temps since higher pressure will raise the temp of the fluid.

            as long as you don't run a max psi all the time, it's ok. it's best if you can achieve what you want with the lowest pump pressure. less strain on the pump and pump shaft.

              I have a bit of a supercharger sound that comes from the trans at low speeds sometimes when you are next to a wall. I'm guessing it's the pump. But not rolling you don't hear it...

                          The trans in my Moante does this. I've heard '97+ gtps do this. I thought it was just a 4T65-E HD thing.
