Can I put the bellhousing ffrom a newer 05ish "tap-shift" transmission on a older non tapshift tranny. Like a 2002ish t65e-hd? Sorry if this is obvious I looked at some pictures and they didn't look to diffrent.

The bell housing pattern is the same as long as you are using a 4T65E from a V6 application. V8 (LS4) application transmissions have a different bolt pattern IIRC.

i know the engine to trans pattern it the same (including the ls4 only with mounts for starter) but i was more curious about the bell housing to the trans if you get what im saying lol.

That was kinda my thought, but thought that maybe the newer ones were. Oh well, glad you figured it out.
