  • What RWD auto trans fits the 3.4?

I have a Camaro 3.4 that I wish to swap into an older Volvo, which has a narrow hump and drive shaft tunnel. I am wondering if I should go with a 700R4, or a 2004R, I don't want to deal with an electronic gearbox, although i plan to use the factory EFI and
computer boxes. The guy I bought the engine from has it set up to swap into a Jeep
Cherokee in place of the GM 2.8...

    Thanks for any help !

You can't use a 200-4R There are no bellhousings for it. The 700R4 is your best bet. Physically they are similar in size. The 700-R4 with the right bellhousing pattern can easily be found in S-10s with a 2.8L or Camaro's.

700r4s from S10s with the 2.5 should also be fine.

700R4, I used one with my 3500 and it worked well.

You can get an adapter plate and run a TH350, 2004-R, TH400, Powerglide or whatever you want in there as well.
