also can anyone tell me what the diff is in the 2 cams that gm offers. 1 shows as pn 24507450 its for the 00 to 02 3.4 and pn 12567117 is for the 03-04 3.4. is the newer one just a cast cam instead of a press on lobe style?

IIRC the lobe for the cam sensor changed...

all 3x00 cams are press-on lobe.


i can double check for you tho, i have both cams sitting in my garage.

Yes, it can. Just have to change the sensor. Its not the most up-to-date, but check out the Cams page under Pushrod/3x00 Performance (accessible from the left hand column).
