for the same price you can go to Autozone and get the Accel straight boot V8 cut-to fit set and custom fit your own.

i've done that for the last 6 or 7 years on mine, always works out great

lemmie know if you need the part number, i have a new set in the garage waiting to install.

I'm rocking the 2nd pair of wires this car ever saw. First was factory (that got a carbon trail due to boot not being seated), and now some bosch (I think?) 7mm wires that I've had on/off a million times and still work great.

Well, 2 of them have radio suppresion (EFI), and 2 of them don't. So really there are just 2 different type. 2 of them also start with a 9, but then are the exact same PN as the other 2. The ones that start with a 9 are probably a larger wire, or something else that would be an improvement over stock. So, to break it down...

            Stock w/o EFI
            Stock w/ EFI
            Better w/o EFI
            Better w/ EFI

ok, so what exactly is radio suppression?

              thanks

Helps to ensure you don't have the alternator whine through your speakers of your stereo. Do a google search on RFI suppresion and spark plug wires, and I think you'll understand better.

Also less chance of it screwing with the sensors that the ECM reads.

RFi is created when a spark jumps a gap this shutters and creates static electricity when the spark leaves the electrode, this is at a reasonable rate when compared to engine RPM as the RPM goes up the pitch of the pulse width decreases thus making the frequency higher and more able to penetrate capacitance on solid core wires, sometimes solid core wires can arch static to where ever a ground is. Static is a bubble and can oscillate, backfeed power or ground before battery, this static voltage can be as high as the coil.

RFI wires creates a RF ground stapling this noise on the negative ground and will discharge through the spark plug. Commonly high resistance carbon or graphite core with silicone insulation with a dielectric strength in the 70-100KV range.

There is no need to use high perf, solid core, spiral wound, or what ever on an engine that is stock or less than a nascar or drag strip hellhound.

As long as the resistance on the wire is in spec the ions in the spark don't care as long as it can jump the gap at the plug to get to ground. Path of least resistance, yes, however if the dielectric strength of the insulation surpasses the plug and wire then the plug is the least resistance.

All most all stock replacements are RFI supression, some are better than others, however all should meet or exceed minimums.
