Nope. I'd like to think it'd be easier to retrofit a 130-145 Amp alternator from a 3400 equipped minivan!Brian

I'm already running one from a Venture - 125A. Stock in my Impala was a 105A
What Van has the 145Amp?
Still doesn't solve my problem though. I'm needing 97 Available Amps (1400W/14.5) for just the Audio equipment.
I have a 200A HO Alternator, but I have to Rev about 4,000RPM before I see them. At idle it also only puts out about 12.5V - Seems to be rather shitty. But I have not found any other alternatives other than stock replacements.
I'm just trying to think of a placement... I'll do damn near what ever it takes... I want my Audio.
Edit: Short of having a custom alternator wound....Last edited by Khipset; 08-23-2010, 07:18 PM.

but then you put more load on the alternator when it has to charge them back up.Originally posted by bszopi View PostAdd more batteries instead.
If you can find the space for a 2nd alternator just make some brackets and mount it up, people do it all the time. There should be a way to trick it into "1 wire mode".. sometimes the newer ones need to have a small load across 2 of the control terminals, i've seen people use light bulbs and resistors for that.
for your HO alternator, does it have the stock sized pulley? I think it was MRZ that makes a smaller one that would help it spin up a little faster.
