  • I have a question for the group?

I was looking at the Supercharged engine in a pal's 98 Grand Prix the other day and it sure looked like it would fit right into the engine compartment of my 1991 Cutlass Supreme coupe.
At 200K on the 3.1 engine and even though it is running great, nothing lasts forever... I wondered if any of the forum would happen to know if that beautiful polished, blown V-6 would actually fit without major hashing on the little car?
At the same time, I would also like to convert to a 5-speed manual transmission and need to know if this also is possible?
what do you think folks will it work???

Bad topic to discuss here. This is 60degreeV6.com NOT 90degreeV6.com

Go to http://w-body.com if you want to discuss putting a 3800 into your w-body. http://L67swap.com is a site specifically for this as well. You woun't get much help from people here because this is for 2.8/3.1/3.4/3100/3400/3500/3.4 DOHC/3.6 DOHC 60* engines.

To end this quickly, no the s/c will not work without rebuild the engine with stronger pistons/crank, it will also take a new computer and custom intake. So NO it will not work. I believe the 5-speed trans will work but that will take a lot of work to accomplish. The question becomes is it worth it?

anythings possible man, you just have to do some research and stick with it. There are a couple berettas running around with the 3800SC engine in them. theres also a website for 3800SC engines and theres a guy there thats putting one in a honda. later on
