im putting money on either a leaking fuel tank or a leaking fuel line. go down under... 6 mpg is like a godamm sherman tank

Also think of Ignition module or coils Being a 3.1 they are under the exhaust manifold and those definately have a tendency to heat up and go bad quick.

seen as how his car is a 95 its got the 3100.
but check the o2 sensor again if you havent already. and if you replaced it maybe you got a bad one.

when my o2 went out in the beretta i went through a whole tank in a little over 100 miles.

I bought a 88 Beretta GT ( 2.8 ) recently that had a Code 13 (Oxygen sensor circuit) but fuel economy was not affected much, as far as I could tell.

My speculation was the MAF sensor was determining fuel/air mixture, and the default O2 map was being used.

Switch over to speed density and watch that tank dry up like there's no tomarrow. You probably lost some mpg, just not enough to overcome the high RPM's on the freeway you're always use to.

the place i bought it from tried to screw me over when i bought that car. i bought it wholesale for 1650 and when i took it to get inspected it failed. the levels were sky high on everything. so i take it back to the guy and he pretty much tells me to go f myself cause i bought it wholesale. so i go home get my mother just to have another person there as a witness, and tell him to fix it or give me my money back..

well it sits there for a couple of days and when i get back he shows me a paper of stuff he supposedly fixed. one thing was the o2 prob took it from an old car cause it went out 2 months later.
this is when i was getting a 100 miles to a tank. so i take it out and its an old crusty original ac delco.
ANd being that this car is a 95 obd 1.5 it has no maf sensor. once i replaced to o2 everything was fine.

If yours does not have a MAF sensor, then only the default map was being used...on my 82/86 SBCs with Carbs, when the computer turns off...its 10 mpg...you can just about watch that fuel needle move, while it consumes about 20+ gallons of fuel.
