ok i got the piston & connecting rod assembly out of the block ...but now i try to take out the piston from the rod but i dont know how loose the piston pin ...i dont see any looks or some thing like that so!!! what's happen ???????

its a press fit.

you must get the piston pins Pressed out of the rod, machine shop needs to do this.

the rod is heated and then the pin is pressed out.

Rod doesnt have to be heated to work, but it would help out. btw, this process virtually destroys the pistons.. so don't plan on re-using them.

yeah can do it that way, and they will get destroyed if you dont use heat to get the pins out.

thats why you heat them to press the pins out. you dont destroy the pistons

cheaper, floating pins require a bushing in the small hole, then the pin "floats" on the rod, AND the piston. costs more, very few engines are designed with floating pins any more.

If you heat up the whole assembly and the apply ice to just the pin it should fall out, or come out with slight push. You can use an oven and never go more than 250*F
