Taking the TB off shouldn't be too hard for someone who has never done that kind of work right? Anything I should look out for?

nothing to really watch for.
You MIGHT have coolant lines going into the bottom of the throttle body that you will need to disconnect. Also, you might want to go ahead and get a new throttle body gasket. They can sometimes rip when you take it off.
Also, while you have the throttle body off, you might want to clean it. It is not really a performance thing to do that, but just keeps thing cleaner.
Just take off the throttle body, and you should be able to get in there to do it. I don't think that you will have to take the crossover off to do it, but if your engine is like mine, you might need to just for the extra room.
So far, the last 3 times I have done it, I had the crossover off anyways because the lower intake was off.Taylor

Thanks! I am going to wait until it gets warmer out and decide on how to do this. If I have the money I'll have a shop do it and get the oil shaft seal and TB gasket done at the same time, maybe throw in a 180 stat since it will be right there when the TB is taken off. But I may decide to tackle it myself. I will definitely clean the TB since it is nasty.Originally posted by 3100 MPFInothing to really watch for.
