2.5 is what you mean right?
if you want less lag then keep the diameter small.
risk is you'll be running out of air sooner.

yeah 3.5 sounds good I have a turbo like lag now since boost builds with RPM thrue Drivehaft

right...
if you choose your piping to big/long you will generate
a sort of delay till boost hits a certain value.
I think 2.25-2.5 is max.

3" is a little on the big sid, no? What size is the comp outlet on your S/C? I used 2.5" with good results (larger can slow velocity).

yeah I saw them for like 80 for all the 3' piping and like 100 for a good intercooler

I agree on that sharkey.
there are aso some saab IC out there although not as much as
we have here I suppose.
but then again it's not the square inches that count...it's the cubic inches
that are responsible for their effect,a good placement is also a good thing.

keep your eye out for turbo volvos in the junkyards, they are about the best factory intercooler. also turbo dodges and not a bad size. and for the money, the cheap e-bay intercoolers are actualy pretty decent.

google for DIY intercooler .
there you''l find several examples of OEM(read cheap) used intercoolers.
they are listed with size/neck sizes.

you may lose 1psi, however you will gain way cooler charge temps and end up making more power.
