I like the idea, but with boost .

i say keep the 3500 crank in the 3500 block and stroke that... thats my plan if i can get all the numbers to work out, which is where i fall short

If it is possible........I would REALLY be interested in the stroked 3400. I am not so good with theory...but I am real good with ...a YES or a NO. I have a 3400 short block and a Complete 3500 on its way.........just what would be the first order of detail to get this to be a reality? I have a local machine shop that can do ANYTHING...I just need to know from you guys if this is doable an/ or worth bothering....or should I just put the 3500 topend on the 3400 bottom and call it a day?

Wadaya think?.........does anyone have the numbers that Diablo needs?

they miscalculated how much we could go so we ended up welding the crank to get our longer stroke. this was only an option because the crank is foreged steel.

but we started with the jbody crank which I have found is a 3500 crank with part number removed and modified crank sensor wheel to work in the 3.1/3100/3400 engines
they sent it to me with the journals untouched so they had to be ground to take the sbc or 3400 rods. This is why i decided to offset grind and do a stroker. since the miscalculation was not on my part the only added expinse is a little more time to ballence. psitons were custom either way with no additional cost for different placement of the wristpin hole
So let's have the gory details.. Where did the block get in the way, any other clearance issues, and what did the pistons cost? There's a 3900 on ebay right now for $1,200... might be time to go hunting..

so can anyone give me the measurements i need to make this work?

the idea is offset grind a 3500 crank .250 in a 3500 block (so 92mm bore?) with sbc rods but what would the rod length, stroke and displacement numbers be?

That would be the shizit, a 263ci 60*.

now you guys have me thinking...

3500 block bored .050 and .25 added to the stroke gives you 235 CID (up from 214) Which is 3.9 Liters
