  • 88 z24 3100 swap

    Ok im getting rid of my grand prix dohc and i found a clean Arizona. i found 88 z24 convertible. if i get it im going to want to do a 3100 swap on it whats gonna have to be done?
    1997 Chevrolet Camaro 30th Anniversary 5Speed.
    3800 V6 (i know its not a 60degree)

        my bad it is a 2.8 ,makes me wonder if i even want it i bet that thing is slow as hell !

          a clean 88 z vert is awesome. just swap the motor for a 3x00, it's super easy. custom front mount that you can buy, move a few wires around, and have someone burn you a chip. V6Z24 and domestic crew are good sites for that stuff, like mentioned. Tons and Tons of people on v6 have swapped, myself included.

            I had a 1991 Sunbird convertible and loved it though it was SLOW (2.0/auto)... I just gave away a 1989 Z24 2.8/5spd for someone's convertible swap...

              the swap is very easy and with roughly the same WHP as your grand prix minus 500 or more lbs it's very quick.
