2.8 upgrade to 3.1

I have searched for this, but have yet to find it. I am building a 3.1 from my 87 S10 2.8. I have the crank from a 94 camaro 3.4, going .030 over and adding a crane 2030 cam. I see that you need to upgrade to 4.3 injectors for the 3.4, but how about for this 3.1? If I have to do this should I upgrade the entire TBI or just swap the injectors? Appreciate any help.

First off if you have not bought the cam yet then DON'T. It is not a great cam. A Crane or Comp 260 cam is MUCH MUCH better. You should be fine with your 2.8L injectors. If you find a Rodeo in the junkyard with a 3.1L then Grab the ECM because it will run your 3.1L perfectly. By the way you can go .040 over and make yourself a 3.2L

Thanks. Yes I have the cam already and the pistons. I went .030 because that's what it took to clean up. I will start looking for a Rodeo ecm directly.
