looks like you may have stretched the mains a little bit. I know its probably too late to ask, but any indication of cap walk? Any distortion with the mains with the heads torqued on?

Really I think that the extra stroke would help for pulling out of those tight corners that you run. The problem is that you would not gain RPM as fast, but the amount of weight gained is not that much though.95 Beretta 3100 with 3400 intakes and TCE TB

I agree. Might want to dig a little more into why the #2 cap is stretched.Originally posted by trotterlg View PostFunny thing is (not really funny) is that main cap problem did not happen because it ran out of oil, there is something else going on here for sure. Larry

That's why I asked about main web distortion with heads torqued on.'86 Grand National

Agreed... the square tube isn't going to promote good flow of the fuel...

Because you are the smartest guy in this forum ,when it comes to intakes and carbs, I must take yourOriginally posted by ForcedFirebird View PostYou should merge the pipes together to one oval pipe. The center cylinders are going to fuel starve since the fuel is going to have to make a 90 degree turn immediately after the carb.

But I was going to make the plenum out of a 2" x 2" square tube .
As I said earlier , my friend has had very good results with his Pontiac SD engine with a similar plenum,
 both shape and size.

I agree though, the TPI 350 guys have had great results with Siamesed runners. Any time you can get rid of turbulent spots in the intake tract and add runner volume will help. Plus you may run into fuel puddling issues with the 2x2 plenum.

Curious to see what you come up with. You have to imagine if you are fuel droplets going down a water slide. It would not feel good to hit that square plenum when you get to the bottom.
