    Is there anyway to use a M62 or a M90 on a L82.

There have been custom setups in the past, and with the right fabbing you could easily use either of those blowers on a 3100, however I haven't seen a setup to date that would clear a stock hood. You might be able to come up with something, and I think this would be a sweet setup, but it would require a lot of fabbing on your part.

Does anyone know how much psi each one puts out on a stock application. Would the 3100 bottom end be able to hold up to either of these supercharges. Does anyone have anyone of these on there 3100 and can give me some info.

      Thanks Again

The motor would probably hold up, but the 4T-60 would give up the goat the first chance it got. The M90 on the 97+ GTPs puts out like 6 or 8 lbs of boost I think. I take it that's why you're asking because someone with a newer GTP was selling one for a ridiculously low amount?

I would much rather have the smaller m62.

The M62 would be a much better choice for a 3.1/3100.

Why would you much rather have the M62 other than the fact that it will fit in a smaller area? It doesn't push as much air, and when it is making 8psi boost it is much hotter air than an M90 making 8psi boost. And its not like turbochargers where bigger ones take longer to spool, it is belt driven so there are no negative side effects by going with the bigger blower other than it taking more power to spin, in which it makes up for with the power that it addds. The M90 is BY FAR a better blower. Still a shitty blower, but much better than the M62, and a LOT better than no blower.

A stock GTP puts out about 7psi boost, although GM claims it is 6psi.

I don't think the engine would have any problem holding up with the power to a certain extent. If you went crazy and were pushing like 15psi you would probably have some problems, but if you kept it pretty mild the engine should hold up fine.

I never thought of it that way. I was just thinking of a weaker bottom end with a bigger blower and i didnt want to harm my car. Thats why i was looking into the M62.

The bottom ends would hold up fine assuming you don't have a zillion miles on it and the piston pins aren't making noise. As said before, the 4T60 will probably puke on you.

Shawn, do you fab the intake manifolds to make it possible to put those superchargers on a 3100? If so, I am interested......

This SC kit is also available for the 3100 (though shown on the 3400) Provides 8psi:

Clears stock hood and no real huge fabbing on your part. Except this one is $4900 USD installed ($6600 CDN) from RSM which is very expensive IMO.

That supercharger kit is damned pricey. Is it working with the stock ecm or is it reprogrammed. I am just wondering because my SE is about to sit and get worked on once i get my GT running.

everything i have heard about the rsm for a 660 is not good. ive heard that the driveshaft has a habbit of bending after very little mialage.
