Nothing about high compression pistons is overly dangerous. You probably won't be able to run a turbo or a blower, though.
If you want to make sure nothing goes wrong, check for warped heads, replace or grind the valves, replace the head bolts, and don't use cheap head gaskets.450 HP from a Pushrod V6 on pump gas without nitrous? A few intake and exhaust mods, some forced induction, rewrite the laws of physics...
Hey, it could work....

Re: SAFE ZONE?
Depends on the cam you choose. You'll be over 10s for sure depending on cam and head gasket choice 11s or 12s is very easyOriginally posted by beppe180hey guys just wondering, i ordered the pistons for the camaro to put in my 3.1L to higher the cp ratio.. m i in a safe zone i dont want it to b to too high what would i have with those piston in the 3.1L thanks if u can answer in the 10's or higher? i forgot the model # or i would give

With the high CR pistons which you have discussed in previous threads, you'd have to run premium all the time. You will be over 11 and possibly close to 12.-Brad-
