It's ugly but it works... and it's adjustable if i need to do anything creative with it. The stock pulley bolts right to the face of the dampener like normal. I just drilled/tapped 2 of the holes in it.

Guest repliedGot any pics of this? I was curious as to how one would do this in a RWD setup using a RWD balancer with the FWD 7x "kit"Originally posted by Superdave View PostYou can always get the internal trigger ring...
in my case i just used an old external one, cut out the center and used what was left to bolt it to my balancer. No problems yet...

most fiero guy's ditch the 2.8 in favor of the 3800, a V8, or late model 60* parts.Originally posted by caffeine View PostWell we'll see what works for me when I start my swap. Why does no one make a trigger wheel for rwd setups? I'm sure fiero guys would be interested in DIS for their 2.8s as well.

Plus Forced is right, there isn't much room back there at all.
Mine is pretty much in the stock 60v6 location for a 3rd gen. Besides, the RWD accessories/timing cover just look better and you have some options to reconfigure then as you need.

How did that help? There's only about .5" from the manifold to the firewall, rotating it won't make it any thinner.[/QUOTE]
Did not make it any thinner, just wraps back toward the passerger side head instead of heading back to the firewall now.

I'm hoping I can adapt an lt1 t56 to the block. Not really interested in an auto and t5s aren't known to hold much power. Rear end would have at least 4.11 gears to compensate for the t56s gearing. Biggest issue I see is that the lt1 pressure plate would need to be used to use the lt1 bellhousing with the pull-style clutch.Originally posted by ForcedFirebird View PostWhy do you need an adapter? Are you using a t5, th350 or 400 trans? The 3500 bolts right to the v6 RWD trans.
