Ignition timing full advance is 30 degrees.
Full advance comes after 5000 rpm (5000-8000 rpm).
Under that rpm , the timing is 33-35 degrees.

Saw some mist on the camera lens at one point. Must have been from someone's car then. Floored it just before the apex, yeah that would do it. Only race driving I've done is on Gran Turismo and done it. Can only race on games, but not even very well on those. So you are like a hero.

In the younger days got caught up in the rush and with a sharp mind coupled to great hand eye came home with my car. Do have a bit of real world "race driving"(more like stupid kid driving). Too old and slow in every way now.

That would be over 300hp at the engine then right? Very nice!

The spin was caused ,because I "put pedal to the metal" too early in the curve.

274 hp is the calculated value , the power was measured in the dyno from the back wheels,
but the computer gave the approximate engine hp reading.

The dyno session yesterday went all right.
    274 hp.
    Not bad.
And we got the air-fuel ratios OK.

Next race is 19-21. August 2016.

I give you a short report of the first race week end of this season . 2 race week end.

I qualified 4th to the first race.
But unfortunately one throttle linkage came loose in the first lap.
I had to discontinue the race after the first lap.
One carb operates only , half of the hp was gone.
The engine took only 5000 rpm.

Starting order to the second race was according to the first race lap times.
You can see the video in YouTube (as I linked before).
I had to start the race in the back row.
It was quite easy to over take the backmarkers.
    I made one mistake, spin-out.
But I made the quickest lap time in the second race.

The 2.8 V6 engine is working allright now.
No oil leaks, no weird sounds, lots of power.

The day after tomorrow, I have dyno time.
Different dyno place than I have visited earlier.
The dyno guy is the best carb expert here.
So I expect to get the carbs working all right.
