  • 3.4 pushrod and carb engine cam options

I am building a nash metropolitan with a 94 Camaro 3.4 and old school carb set up. I would like options for an upgrade cam set up. any suggestions?

the comp 260h2 cam is a pretty decent setup. i ran that in my 2.8 years ago and i was quite happy with it. i would recommend the entire kit.

there are some bigger cams out there, however without head work i think going bigger wont gain you much

I agree, if you're sticking with the iron heads, even ported, going bigger than a 260-2 doesn't seem to yield any worthwhile gains.

Improving the flow through the top end using large port gen3 or LX9 heads would get you greater results, especially when paired with a bigger cam. The improvement isn't just in overall peak power either, but opens the area under the curve making a wider power band with the newer top end, that makes the engine just overall more efficient.
