  • I'm just not sure hybrid....

95 was a tricky year. Going into ODBII I guess. I'm not sure if it MAP or MAF. If it is MAP then that would be cool since I can put that supercharger on it like I wanted to.

    ODBII for 3100 is MAF.

      Thanks...

So is 1995 model year ODII? Are the Crane rockers worth it. Any gain in power from less friction?

        RE: Thanks...

Umm, actually it has both MAP and MAF, you can still turbo or supercharge it if you want.

          RE: Thanks...

My '95 was OBD1.5 and had MAP only.

            RE: Thanks...

Thanks for the confusion....now that I recollect. It was a transition between ODB1 and ODB2. So I guess it is MAP or both. How would I go about supercharging it. Would I need a new chip for the MAP program?

Every GM car has a MAP sensor. Even if it also has a MAF sensor. Something is required to read vacuum.

Most cars from other companies also have a MAP sensor of some kind even if they are MAF equipped. Some do not have a MAP sensor but only a few.

As i remember 94-95 A-bodies with the 3100 don't have a MAP sensor. I also believe that some of those evil 3800s don't either.

                    Look on the firewall.

AC Delco says it has one.

I agree with Cliff on the A-bodies. You can look at the pinouts/wiring diagrams on the site and see there is no MAP input into the PCM.
