Have the '95 3100/4t60e combo. Does anyone know where i can get a ureathane or ploy engine mount? What about the trans mount? Do these even work, or are they nosiey, sqeak alot and do more harm than good? I thought maybe rsm had some and claimed to offer a 10ftlbs gain at the wheels from putting these in, but i do not want to buy from them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Prothane makes an upper mount insert that fits around the existing mount to reinforce it. RSMracing makes the same type of upper mount insert plus they also have a poly+steel or aluminum lower dogbone mount. Highrevmotorsports.com is the cheapest place I know of to get all these mounts. The downside about this site is that they don't stock these parts so there's a long delay while they get them from the manufaturers. It took nearly 2 months to get mine from them.

I only have the upper insert installed so far. I don't notice any more vibration or engine noise and it doesn't make a huge difference by itself but I imagine the lower mount will tighten things up better. They help put more power to the road by redirecting the torque wasted on engine movement back into the transmission and to the road.
The 4T60E is rated up to 280 lbs-ft of torque. Chances are good you aren't going to break anything unless you have major engine work done or do anything stupid like break-stands, constant burnouts, neutral dropping, etc. But if you're worried about the tranny there's always an LSD from engineered.net and the hardened CV driveshafts from the-race-shop.com1995 Grand Am SE

I put 2 inch washers on mine and it keeps the rubber from squishing out the sides of the dog bones. I have a TGP with like a lot of horsepower and it works awesome!1990 Turbo Mclaren Pontiac Grand Prix.

try Karo @ carcustoms.net for the upper poly engine mount, its only like 15 shipped or so.
Also go to www.fastfwdperformance.com for one of their lower aluminum and poly dogbone mounts.

You can take out your engine mount and fill it up with some 3M Window Weld for about $13 and a day of down time. One can should be a bit more than enough for just the engine mount.
I used that on my manual tranny mount and the engine mount with some good results. I also bought the FFP torsion mounts and love those toys too. I did most of that stuff all at the same time too, so its kind of hard to tell how much each one helped individually. Autozone stocks this stuff though, and its only $13.1988 Fiero GT 5spd
